Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook authentic tandoori dishes with precision and consistency, ensuring high-quality standards.
- Supervise kitchen staff, including assisting with food preparation and managing daily kitchen operations.
- Oversee food handling procedures to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
- Lead food service activities, ensuring timely delivery of dishes to guests while maintaining excellent customer service.
- Manage inventory levels of ingredients specific to Indian cuisine, including spices and specialty items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Train and mentor team members on proper cooking techniques, food presentation, and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with restaurant management to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared in accordance with recipes, presentation standards, and customer preferences.
Requirements
- Proven experience in restaurant management or as a chef specializing in Indian cuisine or Tandoori cooking.
- Supervising experience within a busy kitchen environment is highly desirable.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling safety practices.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively in a fast-paced setting.
