Our Opportunity
We are looking for a dynamic team player to fill the role of Shipper/Receiver Inventory Control Associate. This role goes beyond traditional shipping and receiving duties and plays a key part in inventory accuracy, warehouse organization, and continuous improvement initiatives. It requires a highly organized, detail-oriented Shipper / Receiver with hands-on, process-driven qualities and who is comfortable with ERP systems and collaborating across multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders
- Arrange, organize, and accurately count all materials moving in and out of the warehouse
- Maintain proper storage and organization of stock materials and special-order items
- Conduct weekly inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies against ERP system (SAP Business One) data
- Prepare Bill of Lading, shipping labels and courier documentation
- Schedule pickups with carriers and co-ordinate delivery timelines
- Safe unloading and loading of trucks
- Maintain and update ERP system, including product codes, item descriptions, and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Ensure warehouse, shipping area, and yard is clean, organized, and properly always maintained
- Act as a liaison between Production, Purchasing, and third-party logistics partner (G4 Logistics) by monitoring min/max, arranging stock transfers and updating spreadsheets.
- Assist in developing and improving Shipping & Receiving Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and Lean manufacturing efforts
- Follow and improve warehouse safety procedures (PPE, safe lifting, glass handling)
- Assist and support Production Associate staff when needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in shipping/receiving, warehouse, or inventory control required
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP Business One preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable working with numbers, counts, and data reconciliation
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Forklift experience (or willingness to be certified) is an asset
Pay: $22.00-$27.00 per hour
