A growing food manufacturing organization is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Sourcing Analyst to support strategic procurement and packaging sourcing operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring sourcing activities align with production requirements, inventory planning, and long-term business objectives within a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment.
Working closely with planning, finance, operations, and supplier partners, you will help drive data-informed sourcing decisions that support packaging sourcing strategies, business continuity, cost optimization, and operational efficiency. Your Responsibilities
- You’ll support packaging sourcing strategy development through market analysis, forecasting, and sourcing insights
- In this role, you’ll maintain demand planning databases and forecasting models to support long-range sourcing and packaging procurement decisions
- You’ll collaborate with planning and operations teams to manage inventory levels, packaging requirements, and supplier lead times
- You’ll act as a key point of contact for suppliers, supporting KPI reviews, escalations, and corrective action initiatives
- You’ll monitor supply risks, pricing fluctuations, and material availability for packaging materials while recommending mitigation strategies
- In this role, you’ll support contract negotiations through benchmarking, cost analysis, and scenario modeling
- You’ll partner with finance teams to manage invoice discrepancies, supplier rebates, and pricing alignment initiatives
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, Food Science, Management, or a related field
- 4+ years of progressive experience in sourcing, procurement, packaging sourcing, supply chain, or operations within a manufacturing environment
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Experience supporting forecasting, reporting, supplier performance tracking, inventory planning, and packaging procurement activities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of an organization
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement, quality, compliance, and operational excellence
