FABRICATION AREA - FABRICATOR
This position reports to the Fabrication Area Supervisor of the Steel department.
Role:
You will be support to the Fabrication Area with production labour. You must be a responsible team player with production machine operating skills to ensure Norseman Structures is
fiercely reliable to its customer base.
Tasks & Responsibilities:

Promote a safe work environment compliant with OH&S regulations and standards and company policy

Maintain a productive & efficient work area and environment
Competencies & Skills:
-
Experience in fabrication, fitting of parts
-
Basic math skills
-
Read and interpret a tape measure
-
Read and interpret engineered drawings – preferred but not required

ISO experience - preferred but not required
-
Competency with “Lean” manufacturing considered an asset

Have the ability to do heavy lifting when required (in accordance with OH&S regulations)

All other duties that may be required
Education & Experience:
-
High School Diploma
-
Combination of secondary school and experience is an asset
-
MFG relevant education (welding, machining, fitting, fabrication) - preferred but not required
-
First aid and/or overhead crane and/or forklift training considered an asset
