Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee daily operations of our restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food industry knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for managing kitchen staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining efficient restaurant operations to provide a memorable dining experience for our guests.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate food preparation and cooking activities to ensure high-quality dishes are served consistently.
- Oversee food handling procedures, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Manage kitchen staff including interviewing, hiring, training, and scheduling team members.
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain smooth kitchen operations.
- Lead team management efforts by motivating staff, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering a positive work environment.
- Ensure adherence to restaurant policies, health regulations, and safety standards at all times.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in accordance with health codes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in restaurant management or food service leadership roles, preferably with supervising experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety protocols.
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to interview, train, and motivate staff effectively.
- Knowledge of restaurant operations including inventory control, food handling, and hospitality standards.
- Previous experience in the food industry or hotel/hospitality sectors is highly desirable.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on creating positive guest experiences.
- Leadership qualities combined with the ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
- Additional experience in barista services or serving roles is a plus but not required.
