To be eligible for this position, you must meet the participant requirements under the Canada Summer Jobs Agreement with as outlined:
be between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of the employment period
be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment
have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
What you'll get to do:

Design skills enhancement such as reading, financial literacy, coding, arts and crafts activities
Plan, develop and deliver online summer learning activities for children
Outreach for program participants
Intake, screening and registration
Support children learning through group facilitation and coaching
Gather and analyze evaluations and feed
Create and maintain closing reports and weekly reports
What you need to know/have:
Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of post-secondary education - social service worker, social work, community social worker or psychology
Knowledge in MS Office, experience in coding, digital platforms, including social media
Ability to work with various levels of children learners in a virtual environment
Good English language communication skills, knowledge of a second language an asset
Flexible and adaptable working within diverse populations
Location: Brampton, ON
Hours: 35 per week, occasional weekends and evenings may be required.
Compensation: $17.60 per hour
