White Wilderness Heliskiing is seeking an experienced Sous Chef for the upcoming winter season.
This is a hands-on culinary position supporting the senior kitchen team in the preparation and execution of the lodge food program. The Sous Chef will work across daily preparation and service, with a strong focus on consistency, organization and quality.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items to established standards.
- Support daily preparation, cooking, plating and service.
- Maintain consistent standards of quality, portioning and presentation.
- Assist with the organization and coordination of kitchen preparation.
- Provide direction to junior culinary staff when required.
- Ensure preparation is completed accurately and within required timelines.
- Assist with receiving, stock rotation and kitchen organization.
- Follow established procedures for dietary requirements and food allergies.
- Maintain a clean, organized and efficient workstation.
- Ensure food-safety and sanitation standards are followed at all times.
- Assist with kitchen cleaning and closing responsibilities.
- Support the Head Chef and Executive Chef with daily kitchen operations.
- Take responsibility for assigned areas of service as required.
- Maintain a professional and cooperative working environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or in a comparable professional culinary position.
- Strong cooking, preparation and plating skills.
- Good understanding of kitchen organization and service execution.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small culinary team.
- Strong organization and attention to detail.
- Sound knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Reliable, adaptable and able to maintain consistent standards in a seasonal lodge environment.
- Culinary certification or Red Seal designation considered an asset.
- Previous lodge, resort, hotel or comparable hospitality experience considered an asset.

Compensation: $26.00–$32.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
