Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, operating forklifts safely, and supporting shipping and receiving operations. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse procedures, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to perform heavy lifting. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience to contribute to a dynamic logistics environment. All roles are paid, including internship positions.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklift equipment safely and efficiently to load, unload, and move goods within the warehouse.
- Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory movements accurately.
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring correct documentation and handling of materials.
- Perform basic equipment repairs and maintenance checks to ensure operational safety.
- Handle materials with care, maintaining organisation and cleanliness within the workspace.
- Support stock organisation, storage, and retrieval processes as required.
- Assist in inventory counts and cycle counts to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times during operations.
Qualifications
- Valid forklift licence recognised by relevant authorities.
- Proven experience in warehouse management systems and materials handling.
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with equipment repair is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of shipping & receiving procedures.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Basic maths skills for inventory counting and documentation purposes.
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not essential; training can be provided for suitable candidates.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail and safety protocols. This role offers a vital contribution to our logistics operations, requiring a dedicated individual capable of maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency within a busy warehouse environment.
