We are looking for a reliable and motivated Part-Time Commercial Property Caretaker to help maintain several local properties. This position is ideal for someone who is hands-on, organized, and takes pride in keeping buildings clean, safe, and well-maintained.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine morning site visits
- Maintain cleanliness of common areas, entrances, parking lots, and exterior grounds (removal of garbage/debris/waste from the unhoused population is a DAILY occurance)
- Minor maintenance and repair tasks (light bulbs, touch-up painting, basic repairs, etc.)
- Monitor building and report concerns
- Seasonal duties including snow removal and salting walkways if required
- Ensure garbage and recycling areas are maintained
- Respond to tenant concerns in a professional manner
Qualifications
- Previous property maintenance or caretaker experience is an asset
- Basic knowledge of building maintenance and repairs/handyman skills
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Reliable transportation
- MUST be physically able to perform maintenance and cleaning duties
- Be a good communicator and have a positive attitude when it comes to work
