Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Food Truck Staff to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced BBQ food service environment, providing delicious meals to our community. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a mobile setting. Prior restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided. This position involves direct interaction with customers, food preparation, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
This position is for Friday- Sunday Weekly
$18-$20 per hour plus tips
Duties
- Operate POS systems for order processing and cash handling
- Serve customers efficiently while providing friendly and attentive service
- Describe menu items in a tasty help customers choose their menu options
- Manage cash transactions accurately and handle cash register operations
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the food truck, including food handling and sanitation procedures
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth operation throughout shifts
- Assist with upselling menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices
- Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during busy periods
- Support team members in all aspects of daily operations as needed
Requirements
- Knowledge of food preparation, serving, cashiering, and food safety standards is an asset, but not mandartory
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Excellent time management skills to handle high-volume periods efficiently
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order calculations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Kitchen experience or restaurant background is a plus but not required
- Ability to work weekends or special events if necessary
