Marketing Coordinator, Content & Digital Destination St. John’s
Position Overview
Destination St. John’s is seeking an organized, collaborative, and creative marketing professional to join our team as Marketing Coordinator, Content & Digital.
This role supports the execution and coordination of Destination St. John’s marketing initiatives across digital platforms, social media, content development, campaigns, partner communications, and organizational marketing operations. The successful candidate will play an important role in helping showcase St. John’s as a vibrant, welcoming, and world-class destination for leisure travel, business events, sport, and cultural experiences.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys balancing creative storytelling with strong organizational skills, and is excited to contribute to a collaborative and evolving marketing team.
The Marketing Coordinator, Content & Digital will report to the Senior Marketing Manager and work closely with internal teams, external partners, agencies, creators, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Content & Social Media Coordination
- Support the planning, coordination, scheduling, and publishing of social media and digital content across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube
- Assist in maintaining editorial calendars and campaign schedules
- Draft social media copy, blog content, newsletters, partner communications, and digital marketing materials
- Coordinate content collection, photography, video assets, and creator/influencer deliverables
- Monitor social media channels and support community engagement activities
Campaign & Marketing Coordination
- Support the execution of seasonal campaigns, organizational initiatives, and event marketing activities
- Assist with marketing project coordination, timelines, approvals, and workflow tracking
- Coordinate marketing assets and deliverables with agencies, vendors, creators, and internal stakeholders
- Support campaign reporting and analytics tracking
Digital & Website Support
- Assist with website updates and content management
- Support email marketing and newsletter coordination
- Help maintain digital asset organization and shared marketing resources
- Support tracking links, reporting dashboards, and analytics coordination
Administrative & Operational Support
- Assist with organizing files, assets, templates, and marketing documentation
- Help maintain marketing systems and project management tools
- Support team coordination and communication across multiple projects and priorities
- Participate in content planning, brainstorming, and campaign development discussions
Qualifications & Experience
- Post-secondary education in marketing, communications, public relations, digital media, or a related field
- 2–4 years of experience in marketing, communications, social media, or digital coordination roles
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience using social media management platforms and digital tools
- Familiarity with Canva, Meta platforms, website content management systems, and email marketing tools considered an asset
- Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Photography, video, or content creation experience considered an asset
