Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Automotive Service Manager to lead our service department. The ideal candidate will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and drive sales through effective management of service technicians and customer interactions. This role requires a strong background in automotive repair, dealership experience, and excellent leadership skills to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency within the service department.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the automotive service department, including scheduling, workflow, and resource allocation
- Supervise and motivate service technicians to ensure timely and quality repairs
- Provide outstanding customer service by addressing client needs, explaining repair options, and ensuring satisfaction
- Oversee the sales process, upselling additional services and maintenance to maximize revenue opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain proper documentation
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and industry regulations
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge in automotive repair and customer service
- Monitor department performance metrics and implement strategies for continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Proven dealership experience with a strong understanding of automotive sales, repairs, and customer relations
- Mechanic experience or mechanical knowledge is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence
- Ability to upsell services tactfully while ensuring transparency and trust with customers
- Strong organizational skills with proficiency in cash handling and administrative tasks
- Knowledge of automotive repair processes, parts inventory management, and industry standards is preferred
- Prior experience managing a team within an automotive environment is a plus
Pay: $80,000.00-$133,484.15 per year
