Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists with dispensing medications accurately and efficiently
- Prepare prescription labels and package medications for patient pickup
- Maintain organized records of medication inventory and ensure stock levels are adequate
- Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions and offering guidance under supervision
- Manage administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and processing insurance claims
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including proper handling and storage of medications
- Support medication administration processes as directed by licensed pharmacists or healthcare providers
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy workspace
Skills
- Prior experience in pharmacy settings is highly desirable
- Experience as a pharmacy technician is a plus
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to pharmacy operations
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach
- Ability to accurately handle medication dispensing and administration tasks
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
