Powell River Child, Youth & Family Services Society is seeking a part-time Facilitator for after-school hours at the Youth Resource Centre (YRC), working 3–4 days per week. The YRC Facilitator helps create a welcoming, safe, and inclusive space where children and youth can build social connections, life skills, and a sense of belonging. The YRC Facilitator engages youth through informal, relationship-based activities that encourage positive peer interaction, inclusion, and supportive adult connections in a flexible, youth-driven environment.
We are looking for someone with experience working with youth in community settings who is approachable, energetic, creative, and skilled at building relationships. Strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to support youth in a calm and respectful way are essential. Experience in art, music, recreation, or informal programming is an asset, but strong relational skills are the priority.
Requirements include:
· Completion or current enrolment in a certificate or diploma program in a related human services field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Valid Class 5 driver’s license
· Reliable vehicle able to pass a vehicle safety inspection
· Satisfactory criminal record check.
