We have an immediate need for a motivated, service-driven self-starter to join our group and help support our busy and fast-paced print environment. You’ll work closely with our Production Manager to get the job done according to spec, within budget and by deadline.
Responsibilities
- Set up large format print production files in printer RIP software according to the work order received - Roland TrueVIS printer and Xante flat bed printer.
- Monitor quality control throughout the print and finishing cycle
- Perform preventative maintenance and cleaning of equipment as required
- Help maintain a clean and safe working environment
Skills and Qualifications
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal)
- One years’ work experience, in the large format print environment
- High level of computer literacy
- Ability to follow work order direction and instructions, and question when clarification is required
- Ability to work quickly and under the pressure of deadlines
- Completion of secondary school
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, as required
Salary
- $18.00 - $21.00/hour plus benefits
You will also need to have your own car for occasional local business travel. On-site parking is provided. Colour by Design is a small group in the design and printing business located at Carling and the Queensway.
