Duties:
- Set up and operate welding equipment and tools, such as MIG, TIG, and arc welders
- Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures and equipment through the process of welding
- Inspect welds for accuracy and quality assurance
- Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment
Skills:
- Proficient in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in workmanship
- Knowledge of different types of metals and their properties
- Familiarity with safety procedures and protocols in a welding environment
- Ability to operate forklifts or other material handling equipment (preferred but not required)
