Demolition Cleaner / Labourer & Handyman
Home Base NL – St. John’s, NL
We’re hiring a Carpenter with Handyman Skills to help with property renovations, basic repairs, and turnover work. This is a hands-on role that requires physical labour, reliability, and the ability to handle small maintenance jobs.
Job Duties:
- New build construction such as decks, sheds etc.
- Assist with heavy lifting, hauling, and dump runs
- Perform demolition cleaning to prepare units for repairs or re-rental
- Carry out light handyman work such as:
- Patching drywall
- Replacing locks and door handles
- Basic painting and touch-ups
- Small plumbing or electrical fixes (as qualified)
- Follow safety procedures and use proper protective equipment
Requirements:
- Comfortable with heavy labour in dirty/dusty environments
- Ability to lift and move heavy items
- Basic handyman or maintenance experience required
- PPE required (mask, gloves, work boots – can be supplied if needed)
- Reliable transportation is an asset
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Own tools is an asset
Compensation:
- Pay starts at $30/hour
- Higher pay available for candidates with carpenter experience
