Better Way Home Care is a locally owned private home care agency, growing fast — and we're not here to just fill shifts. We're building a team of HCAs who take ownership of their work and genuinely care about doing it well.
Our clients are in their own homes across Red Deer and Central Alberta, and they count on us to show up — days, evenings, nights, weekends. So yes, we need people who are available, flexible, and willing to answer the call when a shift needs covering, sometimes on short notice. We're upfront about that, because we require staff members who are willing and eager!

What the work looks like
Real, hands-on care in clients' homes:
- Personal care and mobility assistance
- Medication reminders and simple wound care
- Meal prep and light housekeeping
- Companionship and emotional support
- Transporting clients to appointments and errands
- Observing and reporting changes in a client's condition
Who you are
- Flexible. Open availability across days, evenings, nights, and weekends, and ready to pick up shifts on short notice. This is the job.
- A learner. You ask questions, want feedback, and push to get better. Bring the initiative and we'll invest in you.
- Accountable. You commit, you show up. Something goes wrong, you own it. A client needs something, you follow through.
- Professional. You carry yourself — and represent us — with care and integrity in every home you enter.
What you'll need
- Recognized HCA certificate and active CLHA registration
- Current BLS certification
- Clear Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening (within 90 days)
- Valid Alberta driver's licence, reliable vehicle, and commercial insurance
- Comfortable transporting clients in your own vehicle
