Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Restorative Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and assisting in various dental procedures. This role requires a thorough understanding of dental terminology, patient assessment, and infection control practices. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with both patients and the dental team to ensure a positive experience and optimal oral health outcomes.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and vital signs.
- Perform dental cleanings and apply preventive materials as needed.
- Utilize Dentrix software for patient documentation and records management.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
- Implement aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment.
- Review documentation for accuracy and completeness in accordance with medical coding standards.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred, however new grads are welcome to apply!
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are essential.
