We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Visa/Immigration Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide expert guidance on immigration procedures, manage client documentation, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong project management abilities, and proficiency with various computer applications. The Visa/Immigration Consultant will serve as a key point of contact for clients navigating complex immigration processes, ensuring timely and accurate submissions while maintaining exceptional customer service standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with visa and immigration application processes, including document preparation and submission.
- Provide expert advice on immigration policies, procedures, and requirements in both English and French.
- Manage and organize client records using databases and records management systems.
- Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and correspondence utilizing Microsoft Office tools such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
- Coordinate with government agencies and external stakeholders to facilitate application processing.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of immigration laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Conduct analysis of case files to identify potential issues or delays in the application process.
- Oversee project timelines using project management tools like Microsoft Project and SharePoint to ensure deadlines are met.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Negotiate with authorities or third parties as needed to resolve issues or expedite processing.
- Support administrative functions such as filing, procurement, records management, and data entry.
Qualifications
- (REQUIRED) Graduate Diploma in Immigration and Citizenship Law
- (REQUIRED) Provide a clean background check, due to strict regulations we will verify with our third- party provider to confirm all information is genuine prior to hiring therefore we may have to ask for addition we will have a form to complete for that.
- RCIC (Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant) license certification prior to hire is preferred but can be completed post-hire (we will reimburse the exam fee when successfully completed).
- Any additional certification/experience related to travel, immigration customer service, legal and/or administrative roles are great assets to have.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook) and project management tools like Microsoft Project and SharePoint.
- Excellent communication skills in English; bilingual proficiency in French or other languages are highly desirable.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Strong analysis skills coupled with attention to detail for reviewing documents and legal requirements.
- Exceptional customer service orientation with ability to handle the client's perspective and scenario
- Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining confidentiality.
- Experience with databases, records management systems, filing procedures, and administrative workflows.
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently under deadlines.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team environment. Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
