We are currently recruiting of our 2024 Summer Season at Walnut Beach Resort. We looking for highly motivated, positive, and energetic individuals to join our F&B team. Join our dynamic, diverse team at Walnut Beach Resort as a Pointe49 Kitchen & Bar Bartender.
Surrounded by vineyards, orchards and Lake Osoyoos in the backyard we are a 112 room resort offering modern amenities, an onsite restaurant and bar, and Osoyoos's only licenced private beach bar! Reporting directly to the F&B Manager, this position will play a key role in showcasing and promoting food and beverage at the resort. Position includes working our dining room, room service, poolside, patio, and beach area.
With the help of great people like you, our resort is looking to expand and grow the F&B service offerings for the busy season running from May through September.

The qualifications for this position are as follows:
- At least 1 year of bartending experience preferred.
- Ability to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor during stressful and/or busy times.
- Great multitasking, communication, and time management skills.
- Commitment to succeed and excel in a team-orientated environment.
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to work different shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
- Ability to work in high temperatures and various weather conditions
- Passion and knowledge of food and beverage products
- Creating exceptional guest experiences with strong passion and commitment for the job.
- Confident and authentic communication skills.
- Can-do positive attitude with strong ability to multitask.
- Valid serving it right certificate
- Stable and progressive work history.

Job Duties:
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, executing them efficiently, and building a rapport with the clientele.
- Demonstrate teamwork and communicates positively and professionally to all departments to ensure that guest needs are being met at all times.
- Demonstrate and adhere to proper steps in responsible service of alcohol
- Exercise sound judgment and possess good problem-solving skills.
- Maximize sales opportunities by becoming an expert on all beverage and food offerings, demonstrating salesmanship by suggestively selling
- Provide genuine hospitality by engaging with guests throughout their entire experience, maintaining a positive personality throughout
- Engage with our guests, offering menu suggestions and be able to carry forward conversations.
- Exercise sound judgment and possess good problem-solving skills.
- Set up, takedown and ongoing cleanliness of the bar
- Ensure that all transactions are accurate and conducted in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Clean and organize work areas throughout the shift.
