Educational Assistant Needed:
Suzuki Charter School is seeking an enthusiastic and caring educational assistant for the 2026/27 school year. Join our strong team of professionals who work hard to support students in reaching their potential within a nurturing environment focused on mastery and optimizing parent partnerships. We have competitive salaries. The candidate we are seeking should have experience working with students from grades 6-9 and be familiar and comfortable supporting students with the mathematics and language arts for these grade levels.
The Educational Assistant:
Assists in providing programming support
Participates in providing one-on-one support for Learner Support Plan goals and objectives, while promoting a safe, calm and positive learning environment
Documents observations and maintains records in compliance with Alberta Education mandates and monitoring expectations
Manages inappropriate behavior
Provides input to Learning Team meetings
Prepares materials and duplicates classroom material
Consideration will be given to individuals with experience working with students with diverse learning needs and/or who have training in behavior management and non-violent crisis prevention and intervention
Ability to meet the physical demands of the student and learning environment including supervision during lunch and outdoor recess supervision
Applicants will need to provide a current criminal record check and vulnerable persons check
