We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Red Seal Automotive Technician to join our dynamic team. As a certified professional, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicle makes and models with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will ensure our customers receive top-tier service, safety, and reliability on every visit. Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and maintain vehicles with a focus on powertrain systems, diesel engines, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), and vehicle maintenance protocols.
- Conduct wheel alignments, vehicle inspections, and auto body repairs to ensure optimal safety and performance.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair tools to complete repairs efficiently.
- Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service bulletins to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems.
- Collaborate with team members to complete repairs on GM vehicles and other makes while adhering to safety standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
Skills
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair.
- Expertise in ADAS calibration, vehicle electrical systems, schematics interpretation, and powertrain servicing.
- Skilled in engine repair, alignment procedures, auto body repair techniques, and welding.
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance procedures for various vehicle systems.
- Mechanical knowledge of automotive electrical systems, maintenance routines, and automotive service standards.
- Ability to read technical manuals accurately and follow detailed repair procedures precisely.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong communication abilities to deliver outstanding customer service. - auto tech: 3 years (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Nova Scotia MVI inspectors certificate (required)
- Journeyman/Red Seal ticket (required)
- Canadian PR, Not a work permit (required)
