Bring your deep civil and earthworks expertise to the forefront as a Senior Estimator, leading high-impact estimating strategy and execution across complex, large-scale projects. In this role, you will drive accuracy and innovation —overseeing all aspects of estimating from early-stage conceptual development through to final bid submission.
You will provide leadership in quantity take-offs, advanced cost modelling, and bid strategy across lump sum, unit rate, and cost-plus contracts. As a trusted advisor to operations and senior leadership, you will shape project pursuit strategies, mitigate risk, and identify value-driven opportunities that enhance competitiveness and project outcomes.

- Lead the full estimating process for complex, high-value civil and earthworks projects, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives
- Advise senior leadership on bid strategy, pricing, risk, and competitive positioning
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, clients, consultants, and partners
- Oversee quantity take-offs, pricing strategies, and reviews of drawings and contract documents to identify risks and opportunities
- Manage subcontractor and supplier engagement, including bid solicitation, evaluation, negotiation, and selection
- Mentor and develop estimating team members while promoting a high-performance, collaborative culture
- Drive continuous improvement in estimating practices, tools, and processes while ensuring compliance with company standards
- Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Engineering, Estimating, or a related field
- 7–10+ years of progressive estimating experience, primarily in heavy civil and earthworks projects
- Proven success leading estimates on complex, large-scale infrastructure projects
- Advanced knowledge of construction practices, methodologies, and civil/earthworks equipment
- Strong understanding of contract types (lump sum, unit rate, cost-plus) and associated risks
- Expertise in interpreting construction documents, identifying scope gaps, and assessing risk
- Experience developing project schedules and integrating them into cost planning
- Proficiency with estimating and project controls tools (e.g., InEight, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, MS Office), supported by strong leadership and communication skills
