We’re seeking a General Carpenter to join our rapidly growing team of talented individuals at AC Moulding! You will be part of a local Kelowna woodworking shop with a diverse set of employees, with backgrounds ranging from general & finishing carpentry, cabinetmaking to engineering and manufacturing.
Together, we produce the Okanagan’s finest custom flooring accessories for residential homes, townhomes, condominiums, and businesses.
We are looking for a General Carpenter who is adaptable and focused. The position is part of the production team, working to manufacture and deliver custom orders.
On-site training will be provided; however, a strong foundational knowledge of general carpentry tools is essential.
You will be responsible for the following:
· Production of custom mouldings and flooring accessories
· Understanding shop drawings and work order instructions
· Order progress entry into AC Moulding & Millwork’s specialized software
· Regular maintenance of equipment and tools
· Maintaining a high level of quality control on work completed
· Maintaining a clean and organized shop environment

Qualifications & Requirements
· High school diploma or equivalent work experience
· Strong skills operating table saws, miter saws and general shop equipment
· High level of accuracy and attention to detail
· Ability to pivot in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
· Ability to work effectively in a team environment with mutual respect, courtesy, and support
· Self-motivated and reliable
· Excellent command of written and spoken English
· Reliable mode of transportation
· Physically fit and capable of lifting materials weighing 50-60 lbs.
· Familiarity with both Metric (millimetre) and Imperial (feet & inches) measurement systems
Considered Assets
· Knowledge of the flooring or construction industry
· Knowledge of CNC operating and programming
· Basic/Intermediate computer skills and willingness to learn new programs
· Knowledge of staining and finishing principles
· Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)/Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) systems
· Apprenticeship in a field with a transferrable skillset
· Certified Journeyman/Journeyperson Carpenter (Red Seal)
· Creativity/problem-solving mindset
