As Senior Accountant, you are responsible for ensuring that Rohit’s financial records are accurate and complete. You will be responsible for reporting and compliance, cash flow monitoring and forecasting.
Essential Functions:
- Oversee divisional financial and operational reporting, providing analysis and insights to internal and external stakeholders
- Review monthly bank reconciliations and ensure accurate postings to the General Ledger
- Lead the project management team in job creation and system data maintenance
- Publish monthly divisional performance reports in collaboration with Business Partners
- Manage monthly revenue recognition and cost of sales processes
- Review GST/PST calculations and respond to internal stakeholder inquiries
- Supervise journal entry postings and maintain inventory records
- Prepare year-end working papers and analytics for external auditors
- Assist in developing policies and procedures to establish and maintain effective internal controls
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Required

5 year(s): Experience in a financial reporting and analysis role.

Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power Query and Power BI

Accounting designation or working towards CPA designation.
Preferred

Experience overseeing tasks and organizing a department.

Experience leading a small team and liaising with senior management of a company, particularly Financial Reporting Manager and Controller.

Real estate or construction experience would be considered an asset.
