The Pickle Station is seeking a professional, highly skilled Part-Time Maintenance Technician to assist in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing all mechanical equipment across our facility.
This role is ideal for a self-motivated technician who thrives in an autonomous environment but can collaborate effectively with the production team. While the standard schedule is 1–2 days per week, the ideal candidate understands the seasonal nature of our agricultural/food processing operation and is keen to adapt to longer hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, during our peak production season.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues efficiently on all facility equipment, ensuring minimal downtime during the critical production season.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine and preventative maintenance on specialized facility machinery, focusing on the upkeep of motors and conveyor systems to ensure a smooth production line.
- Metalworking & Fabrication: Utilize in-depth knowledge of welding and fitting on a variety of materials to perform precise, high-quality fabrications and repairs.
- Daily Coordination: Oversee and coordinate daily maintenance activities to ensure the proper upkeep, longevity, and optimal performance of all machinery.
- Safety & Compliance: Operate all machinery, tools, and equipment in strict accordance with The Pickle Station’s safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Skills
- Mechanical Aptitude: Strong mechanical aptitude with a proven track record in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining complex mechanical equipment.
- Metalworking Skills: Hand-on experience with fabrication and repair tools, specifically:
- Welding & Fitting: Proficient with welding a variety of materials with high precision.
- Torching & Grinding: Experienced in safe and effective torching and grinder operations.
- Asset Skills: Specific experience working with motors and conveyors is highly preferred. Possessing a valid Forklift License is a strong asset.
- Work Style: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while remaining a collaborative, effective team player.
- Pace & Resilience: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
- Seasonal Flexibility: A strong understanding of seasonal operations; must be willing and able to work flexible, extended hours (including nights, weekends, and holidays) during peak production.
Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
