Position Type: Casual (with potential for regular hours)
We’re excited to announce immediate openings for Casual Staffed Living Support Workers at Access Resources! As our Staffed Living program grows, we’re looking for energetic, compassionate individuals to join our well-established team.

Access Resources is a dynamic, fast-paced agency providing community and residential support services throughout the Okanagan since 1993. We support youth and adults with diverse abilities and complex needs, including individuals with behavioural challenges. What You’ll Do
As a Staffed Living Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in helping individuals live fulfilling, independent lives. You’ll provide support in areas such as:
- Daily life skills (personal care, household tasks)
- Emotional and social well-being
- Community inclusion and recreation
- Economic and vocational development
- Implementing and documenting Individualized Service Plans (ISPs)
- Communication and collaboration with team members and external professionals
All support is delivered with respect, dignity, and a person-centred approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide residential and community-based support as assigned
- Maintain clear, accurate records and documentation (including participation notes, petty cash logs, etc.)
- Participate in agency planning, reporting, and health & safety initiatives
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other stakeholders
- Uphold the values and policies of Access Resources in all interactions
What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications:
- Human Service Worker (HSW), Residential Support Worker (RSW) diploma, or equivalent post-secondary education OR a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the field
- Valid Class 5 BC Drivers License and clear drivers abstract and willing to obtain Class 4 BC Drivers License within 3 months of hire.
- Current First Aid with CPR certification
- Clear Criminal Record Check (Ministry of Justice – children and vulnerable adults)
- Daily Access to a safe, reliable personal vehicle with business use insurance.
- Clear Driver’s Abstract
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and problem-solving skills
To be completed within 3 months of hire:
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) or equivalent
- WHMIS Certification
- Food Safe Level 1
- Negative TB screening test
- Class 4 Driver’s License
Additional Assets:
- Experience supporting individuals with Diverse Abilities/or complex beavioural challenges
- Immediate availability
- Flexibility for a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and overnights
