Position Overview
We’re looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team. As the face of Maritime Women, you’ll create a welcoming shopping experience, help customers find styles they love, and support day-to-day boutique operations.
This role is ideal for someone who loves fashion, wellness, and connecting with people in a fun, supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist customers in a warm, friendly, and professional manner
- Build genuine relationships with customers and deliver exceptional customer service
- Help customers with sizing, product recommendations, styling, and fit guidance
- Being familiar with our Maritime Women apparel and affiliate products (Love Letters Jewelry, Luz Beauty Products, Püre Candles) to help guide our customers
- Process transactions accurately using Shopify POS
- Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and visual merchandising standards
- Restock inventory and ensure product displays remain neat and appealing
- Assist with receiving shipments, tagging merchandise, and stock organization
- Support opening and closing procedures
- Help with in-store events, pop-ups, and special promotions
- Encourage customer loyalty by sharing new arrivals, promotions, and brand initiatives
- Support social media content creation when needed (stories, favorite products, behind-the-scenes)
- Answer customer questions in person, by phone, and through social channels if required
Qualifications
- Previous retail, customer service, or sales experience preferred (but not required)
- Passion for fashion, fitness, wellness, or women-led brands
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Friendly, confident, and approachable personality
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a small team environment
- Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced boutique setting
- Basic comfort with technology (Shopify POS, Instagram, texting customers, etc.)
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Ability to lift and move boxes of inventory when needed
