Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Tank Trailer Maintenance Foreman to lead our maintenance team in ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our fleet. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee complex repair operations, coordinate maintenance schedules, and uphold high standards of mechanical excellence across our tank trailer assets.
Duties
- Supervise daily maintenance activities on tank trailers, ensuring repairs are completed efficiently and safely.
- Coordinate with team members to schedule routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs.
- Perform detailed diagnostics using schematics and technical manuals to identify mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic issues.
- Steam units before repairs
- Oversee welding, fabrication, and assembly work on trailers using power tools and hand tools, maintaining high quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including proper handling of heavy lifting operations and hazardous materials.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, parts inventory, and repair logs for accountability and reporting purposes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dealership or heavy equipment maintenance with a strong background in automotive repair and industrial machinery.
- Mechanical knowledge of trailer systems, hydraulics, electrical wiring and schematics interpretation is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety standards.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to read technical schematics and manuals accurately.
- Excellent leadership qualities with experience supervising maintenance teams or foremen roles.
- Customer service mindset with clear communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and external vendors.
