HC Matcon Inc. is hiring aWelder/Fitter to work in our busy fabrication shop and equipment yard. We are leading heavy civil contractor specialized in deep foundations, excavation shoring and shotcrete. The work will include various tasks at our shop and yard in Ayr. The job includes, but not limited to, the following tasks:
- Material Handling
- Use of Power/Air Tools
- Cutting Torches
- Plasma Cutting
- Arc Gouging
- Follow company policies and procedures.
- Foster a safety first work culture.
Essential Skills:
- Secondary school diploma or proven experience in a similar role.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Reliable transportation a must as there are no bus routes in this area
- Can-do attitude and embrace challenges.
- Experience or interest in heavy construction or contracting.
- 5 years experience is preferred
- Blue Print reading is required
- CWB Certified is a must
- Flux Core Certified a Must
- Fluent in the English Language is a Must.
