Event Assistant (Casual)
Location: GEM Events centre
Pay Rate: $20 per hour

The Collective is a growing group of hospitality, wedding, events, and service-based brands based in the Canadian Rockies. From venues and accommodations to creative services and client experiences, we operate multiple divisions under one umbrella, and we are looking for causal event assistants to help us with our upcoming busy season
About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Event Assistants to support our events and wedding team. This is a casual, hourly position ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, creative environment and doesn’t mind getting their hands dirty.
You will play an important role in bringing events and ceremonies to life by assisting with setup, styling, and pack-down across various venues and wedding locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup and tear-down of event spaces and ceremony locations
- Support décor installation and styling within venues
- Assist the elopement team when additional on-site support is required
- Pull, pack, transport, and clean décor items and event materials
- Ensure all items are handled with care and returned in good condition
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of décor storage areas
Requirements
- Valid driver’s licence
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
- Ability to perform physical tasks and heavy lifting
- Availability to work weekends and late nights as required
- Positive, can-do attitude
- Ability to take direction well and work as part of a team
- Previous experience in the event industry is preferred but not required
