Overview
Seed Oil Free Company is a rapidly growing food company focused on traditional foods made with simple ingredients. We are currently launching a line of grass-fed beef tallow products and are looking for a hands-on team member who can help us build and maintain our food safety systems while also participating in day-to-day production and warehouse operations.
This is an ideal role for someone with CFIA, food manufacturing, quality assurance, HACCP, or food safety experience who enjoys being part of a growing business and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves.
Responsibilities:
Food Safety & Quality
- Maintain and improve our Preventive Control Plan (PCP)
- Develop and update SOPs, sanitation procedures, and production records
- Manage traceability, lot coding, and recall documentation
- Ensure compliance with CFIA and Safe Food for Canadians Regulations
- Conduct internal audits and facility inspections
- Assist with retailer and distributor compliance requirements
- Coordinate product testing and documentation as required
Production & Operations
- Assist with repacking and packaging grass-fed beef tallow products
- Operate basic production and packaging equipment
- Receive and organize inventory
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the production facility
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities
- Support general warehouse and production operations as needed
Qualifications:
- Experience working in a food manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of CFIA regulations, PCPs, HACCP, SQF, BRC, or other food safety programs
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Comfortable working in both office and production environments
- Forklift experience considered an asset
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently
- Willingness to perform both administrative and physical tasks

Pay: $55,000.00-$67,000.00 per year
