Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating dump trucks to transport materials to and from various job sites. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and adherence to traffic and safety regulations. Candidates with experience in heavy equipment operation, freight handling, and automotive repair are preferred to ensure smooth operations and quick troubleshooting when needed.
Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks safely across different terrains and job sites, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload materials efficiently, coordinating with site managers and other team members.
- Perform routine inspections of the truck before and after shifts, checking for mechanical issues or safety hazards.
- Maintain accurate logs of trips, materials transported, and hours worked.
- Assist with basic maintenance or minor repairs on the vehicle as needed, utilizing automotive repair skills.
- Operate related heavy equipment such as forklifts when required for loading or unloading materials.
- Ensure the secure transport of freight, adhering to weight limits and safety protocols.
Experience
- Proven experience as a commercial truck driver, preferably with dump trucks or similar heavy equipment.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating forklifts or other heavy machinery is a plus.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety standards in construction or industrial settings.
- Basic automotive repair skills are advantageous for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues.
- Prior experience working with heavy equipment operation is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided if necessary. Pay: $21.87-$33.30 per hour
