General Description
A Service Technician is responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on customer’s vehicles and providing diagnostic analysis. Service Technicians must work closely with the Service Advisor in providing communication of their findings and the status of the repair.
Main Duties
- Maintaining a clean and organized service bay.
- Performing repairs and maintenance on vehicles scheduled in for service.
- Performing test drives on customer’s vehicles when required.
- Communicating with the Service Advisor to provide updates on the repair.
- Dealing with the Parts Department in getting prices on parts and ordering parts.
- When required, explaining to the customer the nature of the repair or on occasion showing the customer in the shop what is wrong with their vehicle.
- Comply with Provincial and Federal Regulations
- Completion of required Provincial and Factory Training for certification purposes.
