Overview
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles and heavy equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with diverse machinery, and excellent customer service skills.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repair of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components
- Conduct maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, schematics, and welding equipment to complete repairs efficiently
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using technical manuals and diagnostic software
- Follow safety protocols during heavy lifting and operation of industrial equipment
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair needs and maintenance schedules
- Maintain detailed records of services performed and parts used
Experience
- Proven mechanic experience with automotive repair is required;
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, welding techniques, electrical systems, and schematics is beneficial
- Experience working with power tools and hand tools for assembly and maintenance tasks
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer service skills to assist clients with technical explanations and service recommendations
- Previous experience in maintenance or industrial equipment repair is a plus
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
