- We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Dispatcher to coordinate transportation and logistics operations within our supply chain network. The ideal candidate will manage freight movements, communicate effectively with drivers and clients, and utilize various transportation management systems to ensure timely deliveries. Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily dispatch operations for freight shipments, ensuring timely pickup and delivery schedules.
- Utilize transportation management systems platforms to plan routes, track shipments, and update statuses.
- Manage shipping & receiving activities, including scheduling pickups and deliveries with carriers and internal teams.
- Enter data accurately into multiple systems, maintaining detailed records of shipments, delays, and issues.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and internal departments via multi-line phone systems, demonstrating professional phone etiquette.
- Analyze shipment data to identify potential delays or issues and implement corrective actions proactively.
- Collaborate with 3PL providers and supply chain partners to optimize freight movement and warehouse operations.
- Perform analysis on freight costs, transit times, and carrier performance to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all dispatch activities.
Skills
- Proficiency with transportation management systems such XPERT.
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes, freight management, and 3PL operations.
- Experience with shipping & receiving procedures in a logistics environment.
- Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy; proficient typing skills.
- Analytical skills to interpret shipment data and generate actionable insights.
- Effective communication skills for clear coordination via multi-line phone systems and written correspondence.
- Knowledge of freight industry standards, shipping regulations, and safety protocols.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional phone etiquette combined with strong organizational skills for seamless dispatch operations. This position is integral to maintaining efficient logistics workflows within our organization by ensuring accurate communication, effective use of technology, and proactive problem-solving in freight management.
Pay: $20.00-$28.00 per hour
