Key Responsibilities:
- Maintains proper traffic flow within the yard
- Yard clean up - maintain GFL’s standards pertaining to yard cleanliness
- Recover equipment as needed
- Ensure safe operation and procedures are followed at all time
- Promote a safety culture with all employees
Qualifications:
- Must have a clean abstract, cvor and criminal record
- Previous shunting experience is an asset
- Excellent communication skills
- Planning and organizational skills
- Ability to analyze and solve problems
- Able to work independently and in a team environment
- Mechanical knowledge is an asset
- Must have excellent knowledge of Schedule 1
- Perform inspection on tractor and trailers
- Must be time efficient and able to work in a fast-paced environment to meet all deadlines
- Must be able to work flexible hours when required
