Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and organized Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring smooth daily operations by managing front desk activities, providing exceptional patient care, and supporting administrative functions. The ideal candidate will possess strong computer skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience with office management systems. Responsibilities
- Greet visitors and patients in a courteous and professional manner at the front desk
- Answer multi-line phone systems promptly and efficiently, directing calls as needed
- Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate calendar activities
- Perform data entry tasks accurately using electronic medical record system
- Maintain organized filing systems for both electronic and paper documents
- Assist with billing, invoicing, and bookkeeping using QuickBooks or similar accounting software
- Support customer service efforts by addressing inquiries and providing information
- Handle administrative duties such as proofreading documents, managing correspondence, and maintaining office supplies
- Support medical office operations if applicable, including patient check-in/out procedures and insurance documentation
- Other tasks as requested.
Qualifications
- Ability to commute/relocate: Greater Sudbury, ON P3E 3Z9: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
- ATLEASE 1 YEAR experience in MEDICAL office administration, MEDICAL clerical work, or MEDICAL reception roles
- Strong proficient with technology
- Proficiency in basic medical terminology and experience with EMR is a highly valued asset
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Exceptional phone etiquette and customer service skills
- Ability to perform data entry accurately with a high level of attention to detail
- Experience working with multi-line phone systems and front desk operations
- Strong typing skills along with proofreading abilities
- Previous experience in medical or dental office settings is a plus but not required
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information discreetly and professionally
