The Opportunity
Sundance College is currently seeking to fill the permanent role of a Professional Legal Assistant Instructor. This role is an on-campus position at our campus in Calgary, Alberta.

Key Responsibilities
- Teach students the established curriculum in a manner that best supports student learning and success;
- Engage and support students by bringing the educational material to life(!)… by developing creative lesson plans, learning strategies, topic-based videos and fun learning activities;
- Develop and maintain effective, professional, and courteous communication with students;
- Work collegially in a team setting with other staff;
- Maintain relevant industry skills & knowledge
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
- Adjust instruction techniques to meet the needs of students.
- Assist students in the development of efficient learning skills and study habits.
- Demonstrated leadership skills including inspiration, motivation, and facilitation.
- Ensure that students achieve the Core Knowledge and Skill Competencies for each module taught.
- General administrative duties as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Post-secondary degree (preferred) or diploma in a related field
- Minimum 3 years related work experience in a legal setting
- A minimum of 1 year of instructional experience or hold a training certificate in adult education.
- Preference for those with basic teaching or training experience
- Good analytical & problem-solving skills
- Positive, supportive, and engaging communication style.
- Reliable, punctual, and organized
- Above average teamwork & communication
- Computer literate, i.e. Microsoft Office.
- Desire to engage and contribute to a fun, fast-paced, supportive environment.
