What You Bring!
- We are looking for individuals who take pride in doing things right and delivering great service
- Ability to safely operate and drive a forklift (previous forklift experience is a strong asset).
- Comfort learning new equipment—if you’re not forklift certified, we can help you get there.
- Comfortable with technology and ability to operate point of sales systems
- Strong commitment to customer service and positive interactions.
- Solid communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Ability to interpret invoices, shipping documents, and basic numerical information.
- Willingness to work outdoors and stay active throughout the shift.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule and reliability when it counts – schedule will include weekend rotations (Saturday and Sunday)
What You’ll Be Doing (and Loving)!
- As a Seasonal Yard Sales Associate, you’ll be the friendly face and helping hand in our busy lumber yard and warehouse. Every day brings something new as you:
- Welcome customers with a positive, upbeat attitude and help them find exactly what they need.
- Pick and prepare orders with speed and accuracy, keeping projects on track for builders and DIYers alike.
- Verify and organize incoming shipments, checking for accuracy, damage, shortages, and backorders.
- Process transactions through Point of Sales system; include opening/closing cash and balancing till.
- Keep our yard and warehouse clean, safe, and well-organized, ensuring products are easy to find and ready for sale.
- Safely operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, lumber carts, chop saws, and more.
- Assist with unloading delivery trucks, getting inventory into the right place quickly.
- Move throughout the yard helping customers, checking stock, and ensuring a smooth flow of activity.
