Your role is to operate tow trucks efficiently and safely, ensuring vehicles are transported securely while delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities
- Operate tow trucks across Thunder Bay and surrounding areas
- Respond to dispatch calls for breakdowns, accidents, impounds, and scheduled transports.
- Perform basic diagnostics and assist with roadside troubleshooting
- Load, secure, and transport vehicles to designated locations
- Handle vehicle recovery and secure transport with care and precision
- Complete required paperwork and maintain accurate service records
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients, dispatchers, and law enforcement personnel during roadside assistance calls.
- Maintain accurate logs of all towing activities, including details of vehicle condition, location, and time of service
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
Requirements
- Valid G, AZ or DZ driver’s license
- Tow Operator’s Certificate is an asset — willing to train the right candidate
- Clean driving record
- Strong mechanical aptitude: diagnostics, repairs, and general automotive knowledge
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and handle stressful situations calmly
- Physical ability to lift and secure vehicles with equipment
