We are currently looking for compassionate and reliable caregivers to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is someone who genuinely enjoys supporting seniors and families, values respectful and personalized care, and takes pride in making a positive difference in the lives of others.
What You’ll Do
As a caregiver with Five Pillars Care, you will provide one-on-one support to clients in their homes, helping them maintain their independence, comfort, and quality of life.
Responsibilities May Include:
- Assisting clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Assisting with meal planning and preparation
- Housekeeping and laundry
- Assisting clients with errands, shopping, appointments, and community outings
- Supporting clients living with physical limitations, chronic illness, dementia, or age-related challenges
- Observing and reporting changes in client condition or wellbeing
- Maintaining accurate documentation and communication with the care team
- Following all health, safety, and infection prevention standards
What We’re Looking For
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable individuals
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and professionally in clients’ homes
- Strong understanding of dignity-centered and person-focused care
- Prior caregiving, home care, healthcare, hospitality, or senior support experience preferred
- Health Care Aide certification is considered an asset
- Experience supporting seniors and individuals with dementia is an asset
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and reliable vehicle preferred
- Comfortable assisting with activities of daily living and mobility support
- Ability to speak additional languages is considered a strong asset
Requirements
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
- Minimum 1 year of related experience preferred
- Valid CPR/First Aid certification preferred
- Reliable transportation
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
