Role: Project Manager
Location: New Brunswick
Duration: 1 year
Hours: 20hrs/wk
Scope: Provide project management leadership and coordination for the Isotope Initiative through early project development, partner selection, and regulatory planning phases.
Key responsibilities and deliverables include:
- Develop and maintain the overall project management plan, schedule, governance framework, and reporting processes.
- Coordinate project activities across Business Development, PLNGS Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, Legal, Procurement, Finance, Communications, and external stakeholders.
- Support the development and execution of the project governance model, including preparation of materials for SEOC, Transformer 1, Investment Management, and emerging Major Projects governance reviews.
- Lead planning and execution of the REOI process, including stakeholder engagement, evaluation framework development, procurement coordination, and partner selection activities.
- Manage risks, issues, decisions, action items, and project documentation.
- Support negotiation and execution of a partnership agreement with the preferred proponent.
- Coordinate project planning activities required to support technical design, safety analysis, regulatory engagement, and progression toward the anticipated licence amendment submission milestone.
Expected deliverables include approved project management plans, schedules, governance and reporting tools, REOI documentation and evaluation processes, executive briefing materials, risk management artifacts, stakeholder engagement plans, and project coordination support through partner selection and commercial agreement execution.
Qualifications
- Experience managing multi-stakeholder, early-phase projects involving governance, regulatory, legal, and commercial workstreams.
- Experience supporting procurement or partner selection processes (e.g., REOI/RFP).
- Ability to operate in high ambiguity environments with evolving scope and phased decision-making.
- Experience managing projects from concept/feasibility through to market engagement and commercial agreement execution.
- Experience in partnership-based delivery models (e.g., joint ventures, third-party delivery, or service-based business models).
- Exposure to regulated or highly governed environments, including interaction with legal, regulatory, and executive stakeholders.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams (engineering, legal, finance, commercial) in non-construction project contexts.
