Duties and Responsibilities:
· Review customer drawings, specifications and production routings for new purchase orders
· Develop engineering designs and shop fabrication drawings from preliminary concepts, sketches, calculations and other data
· Ensure detailed drawings are prepared and transferred to the Sales Representative, Production Manager, and/or client
· Convert 2D sheet metal parts into 3D
· Engineer and detail 3D models, assemblies and sub-assemblies using AutoCAD, AutoCAD Inventor and SolidWorks
· Update drawings as projects are implemented
· Maintain all drawing records and CAD files
· Comply with all quality-related policies, procedures and system requirements
· Adhere to strict deadlines and ensure project completion
Qualifications:
· Post-Secondary degree in Engineering Technology or Design Engineering
· 3–5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry
· Proficient in SolidWorks (creating sheet metal components, assemblies and drawings)
· Proficient in AutoCAD
· High energy level and positive attitude
· Must be able to work without direct supervision and as part of a team
· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
· Excellent time management and organization skills required
· Must effectively work under pressure and tight deadlines
· Excellent attention to detail
Work Conditions:
· Clean, well-lit, quiet standard office environment
· Mostly long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers
· May work overtime, as required
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
