Overview
Our Errington Serious Coffee Plus is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a chef. We are entering an exciting chapter at our Errington location as we launch food service to go with our coffee and liquor selection.
This role involves providing exceptional food service, preparing meals, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, excellent serving skills, and experience in restaurant or kitchen environments. This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills while contributing to a positive dining experience for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble meals according to established recipes and standards
- Food preparation tasks, including chopping, mixing, and plating
- Set an organization system in our kitchen, maintain inventory and train the team to meet standards
- Follow food safety protocols to ensure hygiene and proper handling of ingredients
- Handle food with care, ensuring quality and presentation are maintained
- Support team members during busy service times to ensure efficient operations
- Adhere to all health regulations and safety guidelines within the food service environment
Skills
- Previous experience in kitchen environments is required
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and meal assembly
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Good communication skills and teamwork orientation
