New Street Motorsport is seeking a motivated and skilled Automotive Service Technician (Level 2 Apprentice or higher) to join our growing team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, utilizing a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and heavy equipment skills to ensure vehicles and machinery operate safely and efficiently. We specialize in automotive repair, maintenance, diagnostics, and performance services, delivering exceptional workmanship and customer service to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair automotive systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and HVAC components
- Perform maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid replacements, etc
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, schematics, and diagnostic equipment to identify issues accurately
- Follow safety protocols when handling heavy lifting and operating heavy or industrial equipment
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and parts used
- Assist in the assembly or disassembly of vehicle components or industrial machinery
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance needs clearly to clients when needed
Qualifications
- Registered Level 2 Apprentice or Licensed Automotive Service Technician
- Proven experience as an automotive mechanic or service technician; dealership experience is a plus
- Strong mechanical knowledge across automotive repair, heavy equipment operation, and industrial machinery
- Experience welding and fabrication tasks as needed for repairs or modifications
- Experience working with automotive repair software or diagnostic tools is preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills for customer interaction and team collaboration
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Valid drivers license with a clear driving record
