Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Labourer/Carpenter's Helper to assist in various construction and renovation projects. This role involves supporting skilled carpenters and construction teams with a variety of tasks, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and basic knowledge of construction tools and techniques.
Responsibilities
- Support concrete forming, rebar installation, and masonry work as needed
- Perform general carpentry duties including woodworking, assembly, and the use of hand tools and power tools
- Participate in roofing, caulking, painting, and siding activities to ensure quality finish
- Handle heavy lifting and material movement safely around job sites
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment at all times
- Assist with construction estimating tasks when required
- Support restoration projects by preparing surfaces and assisting with finishing touches
Skills
- Experience or familiarity with concrete forming, masonry, roofing, siding, and tile laying is a plus
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and other construction machinery
- Knowledge of carpentry techniques including woodworking, cabinetry, framing, and assembly
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently on job sites
- Handyman experience or general construction knowledge is advantageous
- Skills in plumbing or electrical work are beneficial but not required
- Strong work ethic with a focus on safety, teamwork, and quality workmanship
