Site Inspector
Location: Cranbrook, BC
We are recruiting to grow our national network of Site Inspectors. This is a subcontractor position.
In this Site Inspector role, you will play a vital role in ensuring precise system designs by visiting sites to collect essential details, measurements, and observations. Your work will directly support our Engineers in creating accurate and efficient solar solutions.

Key responsibilities include but may not be limited to the following:
Site Inspections
- Safely climb ladders and work on roofs.
- Review project scopes and document all relevant site details.
- Measure and record site dimensions accurately.
- Submit site checklists and AutoCAD drawings to the Engineering team.
- Correspond with clients and municipal offices to obtain site plans, as needed.
Drafting Site Layouts
- Convert accurate site measurements into AutoCAD drawings.
- Provide slope, measurements, and panel layout based on panel dimensions.
- Provide feedback when system designs require adjustments due to any site constraints.
Administrative
- Maintain a professional demeanor and punctuality for appointments.
- Submit monthly invoices for all inspections completed.
- Work directly with Project Managers and Engineers to ensure precise site designs.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in Construction, Engineering, or Electrical fields.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD software.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
- Working-at-Heights or Fall Protection certification.
- Personal ladder ownership.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accurate site measurements and documentation.
- Strong analytical skills to assess site conditions and provide valuable feedback.
- Ability to work independently, managing tasks and time effectively to meet project requirements.
- Engage in training opportunities to expand product knowledge and enhance expertise essential for the role.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Knowledge of the solar energy industry and related regulations.
- Proficiency in drone operation is an asset.
