Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Food Truck team member to deliver exceptional food service in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving food, handling transactions, and ensuring a clean and safe food environment. Duties
- Prepare and assemble menu items efficiently according to established recipes and standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
- Serve customers with a friendly attitude, ensuring a positive dining experience
- Manage cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and making change
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the truck’s kitchen and serving areas in compliance with food safety regulations
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management
- Ensure adherence to food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Assist in setting up, closing down, and maintaining the overall appearance of the food truck
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or food industry preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and inventory management
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely service during busy periods
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Kitchen experience or food preparation skills are advantageous
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting supplies or equipment as needed
